Course Overview

By the end of this course, you will: Understand nail and skin anatomy and how to care for clients safely. Perform professional manicure, pedicure, and luxury treatments. Apply and remove gel, acrylic, and fiberglass nail enhancements. Create nail art designs using techniques like ombré, encapsulation, and 3D design. Build a professional portfolio and complete all required assessments.

Lesson 1: Manicure & Pedicure Foundations (Days 1–5)

During the first stage of the course, learners will build a strong foundation in nail and skin anatomy, manicure and pedicure techniques. This stage combines essential theory, tutor demonstrations, and hands-on practice to develop professional standards and confidence in nail care services.

You will also complete practical summative assessments to test your competence.

Lesson 2: Introduction to Nail Enhancements (Days 6–8)

In this stage, learners are introduced to nail enhancement using Acrylic, Gel and Fibreglass systems, focusing on correct preparation, product knowledge, and safe application and removal techniques. You’ll develop the essential technical skills needed to create strong, natural-looking enhancements with professional precision.

Both manual and e-file will be covered during practical demonstrations.

Lesson 3: Design and Apply Nail Art (Days 9–11)

In this stage, learners will explore the artistic and creative side of nail technology, learning how to plan, design, and apply decorative nail styles that showcase creativity and professional skill. This lesson helps learners develop confidence in artistic expression while creating designs suitable for clients and portfolio work.

Lesson 4: Acrylic, Gel & Skill Development (Days 12–14)

This stage focuses on building confidence and precision in applying both acrylic and gel systems. Learners will refine their practical skills, perfect application and shaping techniques, and gain a deeper understanding of product control and finish. This is where learners begin to produce salon-standard work and prepare for assessment.

Lesson 5: Acrylic, Gel & Skill Development (Days 15-20)

In the final stage of the course, learners complete practical assessments on real models, performing full sets of gel and acrylic enhancements to salon standards. They refine shaping, finishing, and client care skills while building a professional portfolio with quality photographs of their work.

A business start-up and marketing workshop introduces branding, pricing, and social media promotion, preparing learners for self-employment or salon roles.

A photography session teaches how to capture professional images of nail designs.

Learners complete final assessments and exams receiving tutor feedback, leaving fully prepared to launch their careers as qualified Level 3 Nail Technicians.
